Winter Workshop

After offering one on one mentoring sessions for a while now, I decided to finally host my very own workshop in Salt Lake City, Utah! This workshop was focused on wedding photography specifically. We stated with a class portion in my studio where we went over the ins and outs of all things wedding photography related. We even had a speaker from Utah Bride and Groom Magazine come speak to the attendees regarding submitting photos to magazines and what they look for when publishing.

Afterwords, we had a yummy lunch and mingled before heading out to Snowbasin for a beautiful styled session, where I went over how I photograph and posing tricks with a bride and groom.

I never knew the amount of work that went into putting a workshop together, but it was so worth it! I have been wanting to do this for years but have been too afraid, not knowing if I could pull it off. Once I started teaching it felt so natural, and I just spewed out information and answered so many questions. I found that the time went by so fast and I could of continued teaching these girls all day long with all of the information I had to go over with them.

I enjoyed getting to know all of our amazing attendees and am honored that I got to help them progress with their own wedding photography businesses!
I couldn’t of done any of this without the most amazing team I put together to help me! Every single person played such an important role and I can’t thank them enough!

Of course we had to pop a bottle at the end of the session to celebrate such a successful, fun day! I made my girl, Connor with Fox Heron Collective, who styled the session, do the honors.. I’m too scared! Ha. Then we ate the cake, of course!
